What does "Adversus" mean?

The word is Latin in origin, meaning "against" or "in opposition" - being a root of the later Middle English term "adversary" (the traditional role of Satan himself).

What is the release schedule for Adversus?

From August 2018 onward, each issue of Adversus will be released "when done" after it was determined that a regularly scheduled publication was not sustainable (bear in mind that this is still very much a solo project). Announcements for each pending issue will be made here on this website and via the official Facebook page.

Can I redistribute Adversus to my friends, groups, or communities?

Certainly, as long as it remains unmodified from its original published form. Obviously broader distribution of this work and an expanded audience also adds more incentive to keep producing issues.

Is Adversus available in printed hard copy?

No, but readers are welcome to download and print it if such is their desire. As an electronic periodical, Adversus makes extensive use of hyperlinks to reference online resources -naturally these would become redundant in hard copy. The other reason is purely logistical. Production of this work does not cost money, nor does it make any since it is free. Consequently, it would make no sense to incur considerable expenses by creating and maintaining an ongoing mail order list for printed versions.

Can I contribute content to future releases?

Yes, as long as submissions are relevant to the purpose of Adversus and meet the appropriate guidelines below:

  • Please ensure articles are proofread and spell-checked before submission.

  • All submissions should be original work. Please do not plagiarize articles from other writers and claim authorship.

  • Please ensure that articles are not duplicating content that has been previously covered in earlier issues (these can be found in the Archive section).

Please note that no guarantees can be made as to when accepted submissions will appear in Adversus. If there is insufficient space in a pending issue, such articles may be retained for inclusion in a later release.

Can I advertise in Adversus?

Yes, but this obviously depends on what is being advertised. Please contact Nefarium Press via the Contact page and be aware that you'll need to provide a suitable graphic banner and hyperlink to the site being advertised.

How can I have my group listed on the Devil's Wallboard?

Simply get in touch via the Contact page and provide the name and appropriate contact links for your group, ensuring that it's purpose is appropriate to this section of Adversus. However, please note that, as of Issue #6, we are not listing individual chapters or "friends of" groups for the Satanic Temple.
